884: Easter Egg Hunts

Go to fullsize image

You would think oh how fun, but I find that there are 5 reasons why I think that although this exciting adventure may b a fun romp in the field, it can be quite an upsetting experience!

5. Hard to reach eggs: if they are in the muddy banks or in a spot where you have to help find a friend to give you a “boost” to reach in the tree.

4. Money eggs: Hidden eggs that have only a penny in it  or just a piece of paper that says “You’re egg-static!”, what no dollar?!

3. Overacheiver hunters: People who aren’t part of the Easter egg hunt who find it after you’ve hid it in a park and claim that “the didn’t know” as they eat the candy and litter the empty shell and then walk away with a bag full of eggs.

2. Bad weather during an egg hunt.

1. Adult eggs hunts: They are for kid’s you never see them planned for adults, sure they can “play” along, but where are they at?!

Just step on my egg-citement like a rotten egg why don’t you, guess I’ll have to go back to my Hatchlings app and hunt for virtual eggs – maybe that’s better and less awful of an option!

887: When they run out of your fav seasonal candy

So Easter is coming and I don’t know about anyone else but I think it’s the best holiday out there.  Nothing is more fun than finding random hidden eggs and getting all dressed up to get dirty and then sitting by a giant rabbit and smiling!

Go to fullsize imageI always get excited because Peeps come out and now they have come  out in all sorts of color like green, pink, and blue apart from the standard yellow and now they have rabbits.  I think hey need to stick with standard chocolate rabbits, but what do I care I just can’t get enough peeps.  I know I went shopping yesterday and felt truly bad for m friend because she wanted pink bunnies and really they didn’t have any 😦  Sad face I know I even went up and down all the 500 checkout aisles at Walmart to see if they had them nope – not even close all chickens no rabbits!  They had every other color for the rabbits but no pink ones.

Well at least she got her Robin’s Egg candies.  Although she pouted it still wasn’t the same…now how awfully sad is that?!

899: When someone waves at you, but doesn’t

Go to fullsize image

So you’re sitting in the cafeteria area of the mall and you’re waiting for your friend to meet you at the mall.  You just ordered a slammin’ burger at the BK Lounge and you are just chompin away when you see someone wavin’ at you at the mall.  It looks like your friend and you put down your sandwich and smile and wave back. Then you see the person give you an uncertain smile only to turn back and look that the wave wasn’t for you it was for someone behind you.  Embarrassing…

Other bad waves of excitement:

* The “You, Me, Are you sure?!” wave: you’re walking at the mall and someone you see waves at you from a floor above you stop and look around and then you point at yourself confused and then the person stalls shakes their head yes and then you oddly wave back to get either a hello or just a odd smile back with them waving back.  There went that cute date goodbye.

* The “Waiter I’m not calling you here!” wave:  The wave where you see your friend come by as you’ve saved them a seat and you motion them over and the waiter comes over asking if you need something…no no I don’t…

* The “I’m NOT wavin’ at you!!” wave: You’re exiting the theater and through the cattle call rush out of the theater after the credits are rolling your friend stops and you wave them back to you and as they step to the side someone looks back and confusingly waves to you.  Then you just wave them to the side and they continue to look confuse as you finally walk to your friend then glare at the person who tried waving at you.

* The “Hi neighbor.” wave: The elderly person that gives you the smug smile and waves at you from the side of the road as you drive by lost looking for your friend’s house

* The “Argh forget it” wave: You’re just tired of trying to explain your point, just forget it and wave it on by to totally dismiss your point!

* The “Oops I didn’t mean to cut you off” wave: Yeah thanks for driving closely with your cheesy smile and minutes from a near fatal accident.

* The “I meant goodbye not come here and talk to me for 10 minutes…I’m in a rush” wave: Yeah, I meant to discreetly say hi, not motion you over for lunchtime chatter.

Just awful altogether.

903: People Who Can’t Make Up Their Mind

Thanks to Justin J:

“An awfully annoying moment is when people can’t make up their mind at a convenient time.  Like you’re driving towards someone’s house cause they want you over to hang out and 3/4ths of the way there they tell you that they’re sorry that they can’t hang out.  So you turn back and half way home from the point you turned around then they change their mind and then they say come back.

So you decide to park to make sure that they are sure about what they have decided and they take 20 minutes to decide and end up saying I’m sorry again I can’t hang out after all.  I have work in the morning it’s getting late we can hang out some other time.”

What is that all about?!  When that other time is…who knows?  Why they changed their mind…who knows?  But what we do know is that this is awfully annoying and isn’t any bit cheap on gas!

905: That friend that always has to get in your photos

Say cheese!

Never mind why we even say that word, but whenever you look back at your photos in your photo album, everyone has that one friend that always has to find some way to get in your photo – no matter if it’s a half body shot, a cropped head, or just makes a pose that messes up the coolness of your photo.

Must they really be in all of your photos, thanks for cropped features but must they always steal the sunshine?  I guess that’s what friends are for…now how awfully intrusive is that?!

918: When the social network IM stalls your other windows

Go to fullsize image

For avid users of social sites you should be fully aware that there is a small task bar in the lower right hand screen to share with you that your friends are online.  For those who are lazy and can’t pick up the phone and call this tends to be the quicker option than talking face to face.

As we click over to continue to read the news or write an elaborate email, maybe even write this post a “pop” noise alerts us a new message from “so & so” has arrived.  Sometimes stalling your writing or even switching windows altogether so you have to see the red [2] box and click on it to read.

What makes the messaging even better is when you write simultaneously as the other person and their incoming message stalls your message and you have to click of the IM box, minimize it, then reopen it to type all over again what you just wrote to send a simple item such as, “I’m good, how are you?”

Now how awfully stall…

ing is that?!

920. Birthdays and aging a new decade

A race to the finish featured by cake wrecks

So today  is my birthday, I turn 30.

What I found rather interesting within the week a lot of people asking me what am I going to do to celebrate what are my plans? Everyone just awaits to hear what you’ll do.  Yet when you ask if they’ll celebrate with you they’re all of a sudden busy or don’t have money.  For me a time playing a board game or watching a at home movie maybe even baking cookies is enough.

Yet when it comes to the thought when you exit your 20’s what is there to do?!?  How do you really celebrate 30? 40? or even 50?  Yay to being one year closer to death? Your early years like turning 1 and 5 and then your teens and 20’s come with great excitement you wait to be 15 to get your permit, sweet 16’s and the age to drive, 18 to be legal and no longer a minor, 21 to drink, and 25 to get lowered car insurance – but what’s after that?!  After 25 you start to notice time goes by faster and before you know it your 27, 29 and woah 30!

Well as one comes to an exit of the immature years now you become what I call are the SUPER 20’s it’s just a graduate version of that no longer defined as a person who is young and dumb but a bit more noble and respected for being a bit more aged.

Thank you to everyone for all of your birthday wishes via text, comments online, and cards.  Guess I can look forward to Aug 26 my new half birthday, a bench mark day to growing closer to another year coming closer to a close!  Now how awful is that?!
